| Current Projects GyroSmart Surveying The Precious Mineral and PGE Exploration in the Duluth Complex IDEA Drilling is currently surveying most of the holes drilled in the Duluth Complex of northern Minnesota with the GyroSmart survey system. IDEA surveyors have been surveying for the past few months on the different projects in this area with excellent results. These holes range in depth from 600 ft to 4500 ft with dip angles ranging from vertical (-90) to -60 degrees. To the right, a surveyor is seen initializing the GyroSmart at a drill site. Drilling Fluids Minex recently worked with the NSF to certify Minex 1330 for use as a drilling aid. This product is used to help keep water recirculation possible by carrying drill cuttings out of the hole and dropping them when the water reaches the surface. It also helps increase the viscosity of the water and lubricate the drill pipe. |
