Our DTH surveyors are well-trained and have much experience providing our clients with the data they need. We have added several Trimble GPS units which, in combination with a newly designed laser level, are capable of giving your geologist the correct collar azimuth. We can survey boreholes with magnetic tools or inside the drill pipe with non-magnetic tools, both gyro and Deviflex survey instruments. We have self-contained survey trucks which have a computer station and wireline hoist, and we can survey open holes also. We survey both underground and surface drill holes, and reverse circulation holes as well. Your geologists will quickly have the survey data they need in a form they can use with their mine-planning or project software. Also our FTP site can store your data secured by your company’s own password.
Minex is a distributor of Devico survey tools. Devico A/S, a Norwegian company, is recognized as a foremost source of products for directional core drilling and borehole surveying. Minex sells and rents the Devico tools to enable our clients to know exactly where their drill hole has gone. We also provide survey services using both magnetic and non-magnetic tools. Devico also has a new core orienting system.
Devico’s directional drilling personnel has been working in Minnesota and Michigan since early 2012, for Twin Metals Minnesota near Ely, MN and for several clients in Michigan. Starting in 2014, they are now using the Devidrill at the Lucky Friday Mine in Idaho. The drill holes are steered to a predetermined target. Devico brings its own experts to do the directional drilling.
